BAM. Never again.

  1. I buy curtains ready made and just hem them. This seems to work well. Yours look pretty good though! Well done.

  2. Well done! I absolutely hate sewing home dec items, it's right up there with mending for me!

    1. Ugh gross. Never again. Don't know why it's such a pain, since it's just a couple seams and some tabs. Somehow this equals worst sewing project ever. :P

  3. Woot! We are still using the same curtains I made when Tyo was one, seven moves later. I hope to never make more. >_<

    1. I'll follow SewRuthie's advice next time and just buy-and-hem curtains. Did you like the progression from (slight) enthusiasm to I-HATE-MY-LIFE? I had a chuckle later when I read them all in one go. :)

  4. I used to make "easy" curtains (never drapes), mostly cafe-style. Now I just do blinds. So much easier... Although, I do have to come up with some to hang across the vice-principal's office windows that look down into my library. The kids are much too curious about who is getting a talking to. Cheap curtains and a couple of spring rods, and it will be just right.

    1. I should've just folded the top of the fabric over and sewn a tube to string the rod through. But noooooo, I had to do tabs. *headdesk* Good luck with the school curtains!

  5. Oh man, I hate sewing curtains too. I'm lucky to live near an IKEA, so that's what I've done for the last umpteen years!

    Your's look great!

    1. Thanks! I just moved away from a city who's just getting their first IKEA. SO PISSED. >:( Aw well, I'll just have to go shopping there (prob for curtains) when I go back to visit.
